‘LEGACY’ | GLVES - MUSIC VIDEO
A friend of mine, Michelle, reached out to me with a song of hers called “Legacy”. I was immediately taken by the song. Through the first listen, I knew the story she wanted to tell and what she needed to convey. I wanted to bring this to life because of how powerful the underlying meaning was and how that also resonated with me.
She spoke of connection with her daughter, connection with her ancestors and how she is choosing to pass on all of the good things from generations past to her daughter so that she (her daughter) can experience a safer, richer world and to be free like she felt she wasn’t.

Layered with symbolic meaning, it is a powerful representation of feminist emancipation and self-sovereignty through truth-telling
